I had no idea why Buffy called me. I was hoping it didn’t have anything to do with Willow and Amy since I hadn’t heard anything from the Coven. Of course, my brain was coming up with ‘nice’ visuals of Buffy. She has been the main visitor in my dreams lately. I wouldn’t act on them, though, since she was already having a hard enough time being back.

When I walked up to her, she led us back to the break room where I saw all the DMP posters. “I have this sudden urge to dedicate my productive cooperation,” I said, smiling as Buffy handed me a cup of soda.

“Well, if you close your eyes and repeatedly smash yourself in the head with frozen meat, it’ll go away…” she responded and sat down in front of me. “…eventually, I’m hoping.” I started really watching Buffy. She seemed nervous and was rubbing her wrists. “Thanks for coming by.”

I’d been having a hard time reading her lately, but I saw that her aura was cloudy. “Is it bad?”  I left my question vague just to find out why I was here.

“I was hoping you could tell me.” Okay, her comment didn’t help me any. What was she talking about?

“I knew this was going to happen. Did Willow or Amy backslide?” Just because I hadn’t heard anything didn’t mean something hadn’t happened.

“No. This isn’t about them.” She seemed so lost, and it’s only been worse since Mr. Giles left.

“I thought that’s why you didn’t want to meet at the house,” I muttered. Not that I hadn’t been back since the breakup, but it was still a little sore.

“Uh, sorry. They’re fine. You’d be proud.” Buffy was fidgety and she wouldn’t meet my eyes.

As I watched her, I realized I was proud – of  both Amy and Willow. I had been nervous the first time I met Amy, but things had gotten better.    “Good; that … that’s good.” I paused to try again. “So what do you want to talk about?” That’s when I noticed Buffy rubbing her wrists again.

“It’s Spike.” I had noticed that the two of them were together a lot. “He can hurt me,” Buffy saw me watching her rub her wrists, so she shoved them under the table. “Without his head exploding.”

I felt my anger start to heat up. “Oh my Goddess. Hi-his chip stop working?” It didn’t matter, his days were numbered.

“No, it still works. Just not on me.” My heart screamed for me to wrap my arms around her. “I-I need to know about the spell. The one that… brought me back. I, I’d ask Willow, but…” Once I took care of Spike, I was fixing Buffy and damn the consequences.

“You think it’s you.” I knew that it wasn’t. Not since I checked the spell right after we brought her back.

“I don’t know. I feel … different. There are things…” I thought for a moment she was about to come clean about Spike. “I-I think… maybe… I came back wrong.” Oh yeah, Spike was going to hurt a little first.

“No. Buffy, that’s n-not… no. You didn’t.” And I was planning on showing her later.

“Can you check out the spell? Just see if there’s something that… Could you just check? Please?” she pleaded as I reached over the table and covered her hands with mine, nodding.

After my ‘chat’ with Spike, I knew that the gang was going to the Bronze to dance. I figured Buffy would go with them since Dawnie was staying with Janice tonight. I wondered when she would finally tell us. I wasn’t shocked since her love life started to look like Buffy’s.

I made sure to dress the part of the seducer before heading to the Bronze and hid in the shadows as I watched my friends have fun while also watching Buffy intently,  just waiting for my moment. When Amy and Willow joined the other two, Buffy headed toward the bar. I thought she was going to get a refill, but the sadness on her face screamed out to me. I watched as she headed up to the balcony. Spike had done a number on her. Well, that was about to change as I went up one of the back stairs so I would be behind Buffy.

She was standing at the railing, peering over at the dancers. “You see… you try to be with them,” I said conversationally as I stalked up behind Buffy. “But you always end up in the dark,” I continued in a softer voice, leaning into her ear. “With Spike.” I joined her in looking down on our friends. “They never have to know what you did with Spike. I took care of him, and now, I’m going to do the same for you.” I slid my hand under her skirt until I came in contact with her very wet thong.

“Tara…” She was already panting as I ran my fingers along her soaked folds.

“Just feel, Buffy.” Licking along her neck, I came across one of the bites on her neck. “You are mine now, sweetie,” I told her firmly as I slipped three fingers in deep and bit down on her neck.

    Buffy  moaned.

With every pump of my fingers, I sucked harder on her neck. From the way her vaginal walls clamped down on my fingers, I knew she was close. I took my thumb and rolled it across her clit over and over again as Buffy continued to ride my fingers. I wrapped my other arm around her waist to brace her - along with giving pleasure to her nipples with my free hand. In no time, she let out a muted scream and climaxed all over my fingers. I held her while she shuddered and spasmed until she fell slack into my arms. I helped her to one of the tables and sat her in my lap while tasting some of the spoils she’d left on my hand.

I must have been distracted by the feast. I missed Buffy turning in my lap until she was facing me. “I don’t know how to repay you, Tara, but I have a place to start,” she said, starting to unbutton my blouse.
