Eddie was packing up and leaving. He told Catherine she would be better off raising Lindsay without him. She thought what kind of person would leave a mother and daughter to fend for themselves.

She could have cried, but she didn't have time. She had a baby to feed, a pink
blanket to find, to rock their little one to sleep. She could have laid in bed
for hours, given misery the power. But she didn't have time.

Catherine got Nancy to watch Lindsay while she was at work. She worked as a CSI.
She would come home and spend time with Lindsay while trying to survive raising
her by herself. Warrick and Nick telling her that she should go out to meet
someone new.

She could have tried, but she didn't have time. She had a five year old to feed,
she had ballet class, piano lessons, and a T-ball little league. She could have
laid awake for hours, given lonely nights the power, but she didn't have time.

Catherine didn't know if she could ever trust anyone again. She didn't need that
flat tire after getting off work. She told the new girl Sara that she would have
coffee to say thanks for fixing her tire. Catherine was thinking how beautiful
Sara is when Sara asked if she has kids.

She could have lied, but she didn't have time. All she said was "she's five."
She said "I saw the car seat, I love kids, does she have your eyes?" And they
sat and talked for hours, given destiny its power. She could have been afraid to
fall in love that night, but she didn't have time. She could have been afraid to
fall in love that night, but she didn't have time.
