"Hey Catherine," I heard Gil say from behind me. Shit, he is going to
want me to work a double, so I turned around wearing my best pissed off scowl,
"Did you want to get breakfast?" Oh, now he wants to be friends.
"I'd like to, but Sara is letting me into the club today," I feel so
juvenile saying it like that, but I'd rather not tell him that right now at
Lady Heather's, Sara is tied up.
"Sara goes to clubs?" Poor, poor Grissom.
"I do believe her exact words were 'Honey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'," Apparently,
Gil didn't catch my meaning, but that's fine.
He looked a little sad, but Sara did warn him, "Rain check, then?"
giving him a nod before turning back around and hoping to make it out to my car
without anymore hassle.
I was making my way up the hallway past the labs, "Hey Cat," Warrick, I'm going to punch you. This time I turned around
with a pasted smile as he shoved a picture in my hands, "What's that look
like?" he asked as I started laughing.
"Rope burn, later Warrick," I shot over my shoulder and made it about
ten feet before running into Greg.
"Catherine, I need a favor," he begged and adding a face that Sara
would fall for, but not me.
I put my hand up, "Don't even. You are not using that thing on me. I have
places to be and people to see," smiling as he walked away dejected. I'll
make it up to him, just not today. Before starting to walk again, I looked
around to make sure Nick wasn't around.
My hand was actually on the door, "Hey Cath,
wait a sec," Nick said as I whipped around.
"No! I have an important meeting," I hissed at him as he jumped back.
"Sorry, I just wanted to give you a birthday card for Sara," Well now
I feel shitty.
"Thanks Nick, sorry for the outburst," he just waved me off while I
then ran for my car and headed staight to Lady
Heather's. Thanks to Sara's driving school, I made it there in record time, and
I headed right for the door and knocked.
Lady Heather answered the door with her distinctive smile, "Catherine, I'm
glad you finally made it. Sara has been getting a little worried,"
allowing me to enter before leading me to the room we requested.
"I'll explain another time, but thank you for taking
care of her," giving her a smile before walking in the room.
"What the hell took you so long?" Sara asked more worried than angry.
I started to strip before starting my explanation, "Well first, Grissome tried to throw a spanner in the works, and then,
the three wise men each took turns," reaching down to step into my three
inch heels before walking up to the velvet rope, "May I enter?"
"Yes, you may, but you have some atoning to to
do," she said glancing down to the floor as I knelt smiling.
"Yes, my lady."
