"Mom, are you sure?" I asked feeling bad that she got the day off, and I already have plans with Aunt Sofia and Wendy.

"Yeah Linds, go. You made these plans with your aunts a week ago. I'll just clean up around the house," smiling as she spoke, but I could tell she was still sad, so I decided to give a push since that was our endgame.

"Mom, call Sara. She has the day off too, see a show, or go for a ride on her bike. You always say that you want to spend more time with her," none of what I said was wrong. That is why I'm hanging out with my aunts. We're trying to get these two together.

"How do you know Sara has the day off? And a bike?" Yep, Mom's flustered speech screams interest, and luckily before I had to answer, the doorbell rang.

I opened the door to find Sofia and Wendy smiling, "See you later, Mom, and think about what I said," pushing past my aunts to close the door, "Sorry about that, I threw a Sara grenade before you showed up. I didn't feel like answering the questions she was likely to ask."

"No problem, Lindsay. We just left Sara's and threw a Catherine grenade as we were leaving. We'll just enjoy the day and hope for the best," Sofia said laghing as she opened Wendy's door while I climbed into the backseat.

I waited until we were on the road before continuing, "I realize that you both see Mom and Sara more than I do, but how can you be around them and not want to grab and drag them into a room before letting them have it for being the two blindest people in the world."

Sofia threw her head back letting out a hearty laugh, "Trust me sweetie, the thought has crossed my mind, but their work relationship is just that. They need to find each other on their own, but that doesn't mean we can't nudge 'em in each other's direction. Give them time, Linds."

By the time we made it to the miniature golf course, I was feeling better, and watching the banter between my aunts was entertaining. I would have never guessed that Sofia was a horndog, but the amount of hand slaps I heard was unbelievable. What made it funnier was Wendy would always smile at me in the mirror afterwards.

There was another couple waiting for us. They looked familiar, but I couldn't place them. I watched the foursome make with their pleasantries before Aunt Sofia turned around, "Lindsay, come here. We have a couple people for you to meet," as I ran up and joined my aunts, "Lindsay Willows, this is Calliegh Duchesne and Natalia Boa Vista. They are CSIs from Miami on vacation, and they know your 'parents'" as the five of us laughed at Sofia's wording.

"So do either of you have any ideas?" I asked as we headed up to get our putters and balls.

"What about setting them up on a blind date with each other," Calleigh mentioned as I looked to Sofia and Wendy to see what they thought. Mom is wary of dating, but if the right person guaranteed that it was fine, she might do it.

"I hadn't thought about that, but they are both jaded about dating, so maybe as a last resort," Wendy countered as we headed for the first hole.

We played the first six holes while the four CSIs talked shop. I never get tired of hearing about stupid criminals. There are enough forensics shows on TV that would make you think before doing something illegal. I did notice our scores, and I don't think my aunts have let their friends know my secret. I'm sure someone is going to bring it up.

"Hey Linds, how comfortable are you with a trip to the hospital, and how exactly are you beating us this bad? I'm a good miniature golfer," Natalia mentioned after we had strolled up to the sixteenth tee.

"No hospitals, that would lead to me getting grounded, and I'm the captain of my school's golf team. I'm usually here once a week working on my putting," smiling before sinking my shot in one.

After smoking the competition, they treated me to lunch while we tried to come up with other ways to hook up Mom and Sara. The only one that possibly could work was that we send them to Wendy's family cabin at the same time. The more we talked, the more I realized that they were going to have to find each other, and I had faith that they could, but I'm kind of hoping they do it before I go off to college.

On the way home, Aunt Sofia invited me over for dinner, but I declined because I didn't want to leave Mom alone, and when we pulled into the driveway, Mom's car was still in it, and there was no sign of Sara's bike. I let out a loud sigh before leaning forward and giving them both a kiss, "See you guys next week, and I'll call you later," giving them a wave as I pulled my keys from my pocket.

I opened the door and found the living room and kitchen empty. Huh, Mom must be taking a nap. I went and poured a glass of milk before stretching out on the sofa and flipping through the channels. I found a classic Mythbusters, one that would turn Sara's stomach. They were shooting chickens through airplane windshields.

I must have ended up falling asleep because I woke up warm and smelling Sara's cooking. I jack knifed off the couch and looked into the kitchen to see Mom with her arms around Sara while Sara was making a salad, "Holy shit!" and with that exclamation, I had four eyes on me as I noticed them both smiling.

"So, what is the newest plan on getting us together?"
