CHAPTER 1

Sara thought this would be a good idea since this is Lindsay's last Thanksgiving before she heads off to college. It isn't like the house will be empty when she leaves with the twins Sasha and Sam running around. I swear I think those two break into the sugar daily.

Warrick and Tina were the first to show up, and from the looks of Tina, there is going to be a little Brown running around shortly. Nick and Greg were next, but they didn't seem to have dates unless they are each others date. The only two that hadn't arrived yet were Sofia and Wendy. Brass went to LA to visit Ellie, Mom and Nancy would be by later after spending the day with Nancy's husband's family, and Grissom wasn't invited.

When Gil left Vegas four years ago, it broke Sara. It seems they were dating. I thought I saw signs they were seeing each other, but nothing definitive. The guys and I tried for six months to break her out of her funk, but it wasn't until Lindsay and I went through another rough patch that Lindsay got her back to being Sara again. A year later, Sara and I were married, and six months after that, the twins were born.

When the doorbell rang, I let Sofia and Wendy in with their dates. Funny thing, both guys names were Tim. We decided to start eating since everyone was here. Sofia and Wendy picked the seats beside the girls, and Sara and I both smiled knowing that by the end of dinner, they both would be covered with some food. We have just started teaching the girls how to use utensils.

As I looked down the table at Sara and Lindsay, I glance around the rest of the table thankful for the family that I have. It seems so long ago when it was just me, Eddie, and Lindsay, but now I have my wife, three daughters, and more brothers and sisters that I could ask for.

CHAPTER 2

I can't believe it is already Christmas. It seems like yesterday that Catherine and I were celebrating Thanksgiving with the family. The guest list is a little different this time. Warrick is spending Christmas with Tina's family, but Brass is coming with Ellie. The rest is the same, and I'm wondering if Wendy and Sofia are still dating the Tims. Plus, Lindsay is bringing a 'friend' from school.

I'm watching dinner while Cath is getting Sasha and Sam dressed and from the sounds of things, she isn't being real successful. I still have to pinch myself sometimes how much my life has change. I make a quick check before going to rescue my wife from 'the Hellions' which is a nickname deemed to them by pretty much everyone.

I come up behind Catherine and whisper for her to take care of dinner while I deal with the girls. They know when I have to come in they are starting to push the line. I can usually just glare at them, and they do what they were told to do in the first place. Cath and I have both noticed that Sasha likes to dress pretty like Cath while Sam dresses like me.

After getting the girls dressed, I carried them down and found that we had our first guests. I took the girls over to introduce them to Ellie while Jim was helping Cath bring the food to the table. When the doorbell rang again, I left the girls with their new aunt while I check who was here.

By the time all the food was on the table, everyone had finally arrived. Lindsay brought her 'friend' Scott that I will take care of later, and Wendy was still seeing her Tim, but Sofia came in with Davy, a gorgeous little latina from Texas. It seems Nick and her were old friends from Texas and fixed her and Sofia up.

While we were eating, I kept looking around the table at the family I have always wanted. I mouthed an 'I love you' to Catherine as I smiled at our two little girls and gave Lindsay a wink knowing that Scott is for some fun later.
