CHAPTER 1

I still can't believe it has been three years. I haven't seen a single one of them since I left until I saw Catherine today. Thankfully, I was getting in the car, and she didn't see Callie, Brook, or the fact that I'm five months pregnant. Although, she was part of the reason I left.

Let me start from the beginning, I was brought to Las Vegas by my mentor and friend Gil Grissom to investigate one of his own. Although, I had reasons for leaving Frisco too. My relationship with Tim went into the crapper, and I was looking for a change. I was also well aware of what I was going to be walking into.

I was right of course except for Gil, the guys looked at me as an outsider, especially Catherine. And once I saw her, I knew I was in trouble. She was stunningly gorgeous, but she was married with a daughter, and she seemed to hate my guts even though she didn't know me.

After awhile, the guys came around, but Catherine kept me at arms length even though when we worked cases, we were unstoppable. All that changed after the Collins case. Catherine and I started hanging out after work which wasn't helping my developing feelings for her.

If you hadn't guessed already, I'm bi, but I prefer women over men, less headaches. Then, I ended up dating Hank, an EMT. He was essentially a beard. I mean don't get me wrong, I liked going out with him, but the feelings weren't there. He was also an excuse I used to keep my outside work contact with Catherine to a minimum.

Although, my friendship with Catherine did lead me to meeting Lindsay, and the first time I babysat her, I gave her my card so if she needed someone to talk to that wasn't her mom, give me a call. It was going great until Eddie, Lindsay's dad, was killed, and Gil handed me the case.

Even though I knew it was the grief talking, the things Catherine said still hurt. The few months after that were tense between us, but when she and I caught a case involving a grandmother driving her car through a cafe and then found out that I was Hank's 'other' woman, it was Catherine who took me out for drinks.

At this point, I was doubting whether I wanted to continue working here even though Catherine and I were back to being friends. The only problem was now I was completely in love with her. I was going to just work through it until the lab explosion happened.

Gil wanted me to take time off, but I put in my two weeks instead. I packed a couple bags and went back to Frisco for a few weeks. I ran into Tim a couple days later and gave him the recap of my life after I left. We became friends again, and it was he and his wife who introduced me to Callie.

She was in town promoting her art show. I was instantly taken with her, and we were inseparable within a couple days. By the time she had to leave a couple weeks later, we were making plans on going together. The only problem I had was that she lived close to Vegas, but I decided to take a chance and go with her.

We boxed up my stuff from my place in Vegas and moved it to hers. I know what you are thinking, but she explained that she had an enormous house and nobody to share it with. When I first moved in, I had my own room, but within six months, we were sharing hers.

Callie even helped me get a job as a Physics professor at UNLV where I met my two best friends Cetta and Melissa. Cetta is a psychology professor while Melissa is an English professor. They also keep me out of trouble when Callie goes out of town.

A year after seeing each other, I had become Sara Sidle-Monroe. I knew I had found the one to make me happy. We went to Italy for our honeymoon, and everything was perfect, but not complete. A few months after the wedding, I brought up the topic of children.

Like me, she had always wanted kids, but she couldn't have them and never had a partner willing until me. After going through the procedures and nine months later, Brook Lynn Sidle-Monroe was born. We spoiled that little girl rotten and realized later that we both wanted a second.

When Brook was nine months old, we went through the procedures again and found out a couple weeks later that I was again pregnant. Callie then started to spoil Brook and I both. This was when I finally knew what a family was.

Then today I saw Catherine, and it stirred up all those old buried feelings, but now it really can't happen. One, I am a happily married woman with a beautiful daughter and another on the way, and two, she is still straight. Plus, I know what it is like being the 'other' woman, and I couldn't do that to either Callie or Catherine.

CHAPTER 2

Well, I made it another month without any run ins with Catherine. Today was my last day of class for awhile. I decided to take my maternity leave since it coincided with the semester ending, and of course, Cetta and Melissa threw me a baby shower. It was a little sad since Callie wasn't there, but Brook seemed to enjoy herself.

I swear she is getting closer and closer to saying her first word. She is going to be my life until Callie gets back in couple weeks. She decided to do one last show before the baby is born. Although, one good thing is that she is close by in case any problems should arise.

When the party ended, I started to help clean up, but Cetta stopped me and made Brook keep guard making sure I didn't move. I had to chuckle at the sight of my little Brook sitting in front of me with her hands on her hips trying to look serious. My two friends made a couple trips before Melissa came back in and picked Brook up while Cetta helped me.

I hugged them both before heading home, but I did stop off at the ice cream parlor for a banana milkshake. I got Brook some ice cream too, but she has to wait until we get home. She tends to get a little messy with ice cream. When I pulled into my driveway, I noticed Melissa's car parked in it. Unbelievable!

"Seriously Sara, you didn't think we were going to let you unload the car did you? We are under strict instructions that you are not allowed to do any unnecessary lifting, plus we are your new roommates until Callie gets back," Cetta explained as I pulled my phone out to chew out my wife.

After of course not winning the argument, I headed inside the house. I found Cetta sitting on the living room floor with Brook as I heard noises coming from upstairs. So, now I'm stuck in my house for two weeks with my two crazy friends and beautiful daughter. I am so kicking Callie's ass after this baby is born.

I picked up the paper and sat down on the couch letting Cetta and Brook play. When I saw the article on the bottom of the page, I dropped the paper and ran to the bathroom. I can't believe somebody killed Sam Braun, and Catherine was beside him when it happened. I sat down on the toilet and took a couple deep calming breaths to settle myself. One good thing though, Melissa and Cetta know about Catherine, so when they see it, they'll understand.

I came back in and found Melissa reading the article, and she gave me a caring smile. As much as I want to send flowers, it would only cause me more problems, but if I find out what church his service is going to be at, I could send flowers there. Melissa handed me the paper as I read through the article. I saw which church it was and headed to the phone.

I was able to get them sent anonymously as I went to tell my girls I was going to lay down. I stripped down to just my panties before grabbing one of Callie's oversized shirts and putting it on. Before laying down, I grabbed the Kathy Reichs book I have been reading.

When I woke up, I realized two things. One, I wasn't alone in bed, and two, something smells damn good. I looked down, and my baby girl is laying against my belly covered by her favorite blanket. I don't know what it is about Brook, but if Callie or I are sleeping, she ends up sleeping with us.

Again without even thinking about it, my mind goes to Catherine as I run my fingers through Brook's hair wondering if she did these same things with Lindsay. Brook must have been lightly sleeping because she opened her beautiful brown eyes and smiled at me before crawling up the bed and giving me a hug.

"Thank you baby girl, Mommy loves you too," I said kissing her cheek and wrapping my arms around her. I sat her on the bed while I grabbed a pair of sweatpants before picking up Broook and heading downstairs to find out what the dynamic duo was up to.

Brook and I were both laughing when I show her aunts dancing around in the kitchen. We were getting a good show until Melissa pointed out to Cetta that they had an audience. Cetta came over and got Brook while I headed for the table.

After dinner, I took Brook to the family room for her nightly after dinner story. When I first started, it was just about reading to her, but now, I think she is listening to them. I think Callie took some pictures of our earlier readings when I would lay Brook across my chest and just read aloud. I can't wait to do it with both my baby girls.

The next morning I woke up with a craving for some glazed donuts, so Cetta took Brook and I to our favorite donut shop. The ladies that work there absolutely love Brook, but then again once you meet my little princess, you can't help but fall in love with her.

As we pulled up the driveway, I noticed that we had company, and then I saw the Denali and police car. I told Cetta to stay in the car with Brook while I check out the situation. When I came up on the people standing, I knew who I was dealing with.

"What can I do for you Jim?"

CHAPTER 3

"Oh my god, Sara Sidle. What are you doing here?" Jim asked as Melissa came to stand beside me.

"Sidle-Monroe Jim, and I live here with my wife and baby girl. What is it that you need?" I asked as Brass showed me the warrant as I asked if I could get Brook's bag first. An officer followed me upstairs as I retrieved it.

When I came down the steps, I saw a couple CSIs going through things downstairs. I headed outside and grabbed Melissa's hand heading for Cetta and Brook. I knew what them being here meant, but until I here it from Callie, I'm not going to make any assumptions.

Cetta took us back to her and Melissa's place. As soon as we got there, I gave Brook a kiss before heading for the spare bedroom. They both know when I get like this to leave me alone, and I know that Brook is in capable hands. The only problem I have is what this means for Callie and me.

That is not entirely true, now with Brass and a few CSIs knowing where I am, I'm guessing the lab hasn't changed all that much that the rumor mill won't be cranking out on this one which means it is a matter of time before Grissom, Catherine, and the rest of the team know about me too.

The longer I lay here the more things start to play around in my head. I'm sure Callie called our lawyer, but why didn't she call me, was it because she really didn't want to cause me any unwanted stress, or was there something she really didn't want to tell me. I decided to find out for myself, besides I have friends to back me up if something is wrong.

When I opened the door and Melissa saw the look in my eyes, she knew where we were going. I decided to take Brook with me in case Callie wanted to see her, and if I run into any old friends, all my surprises will be out in the open. After changing Brook, I gave Cetta the directions on how to get to the Las Vegas Police Department.

Thankfully, Cetta turned on the radio on for our hour long drive to PD. I really don't need quiet. It would just add up to more bad ideas popping in my head. When we finally pulled into the parking lot, the three years I spent working here came rushing back.

I let Melissa carry Brook while Cetta put herself at my side. I walked up to the reception desk and asked if Captain Brass was back yet. She let me know he was in his office, so the four of us headed that direction. On the way, I saw a couple familiar faces, but I don't think they remember me. I knocked on his office door, and when he looked up, he waved me in.

"Hi again Brass. We'll get to the pleasantries later, but right now I want to know where Callie Monroe is being held," I said hoping he would bend the rules for an old friend. He came around and grabbed my hand as I had Melissa and Cetta keep Brook occupied in Brass' office.

I looked in the window before waking in as I saw our lawyer sitting beside her. They must be close to questioning her if Sam was there. I walked in, and they bothed looked at me. Sam offered me a smile while Callie gave me a look of indifference. Sam followed Brass out as I sat across from Callie.

"Callie, I saw the warrant. Would you like to tell me why there were CSIs at our house this morning going through it?" I asked letting her know that I knew why she was here.

"Sara, you have barely touched me since Brook was born, and it has been worse since you've been pregnant. I got drunk on a couple nights and went home with a woman who ended up dead," she explained as I stood up and slapped her.

"I can't believe you're putting this on me. I'll be at Cetta and Mel's place when you get released since I know you didn't do this," I said just turning around and leaving.

I headed to the restroom to collect myself before heading back to Brass' office. I had just opened the door when I heard her voice. I turned in her direction before heading inside. I figure in case we have words, I'd rather do it in here instead of the hall.

I was glad it was empty as I leaned against the wall as Catherine walked in. I looked up at the woman I dreamed of for three years, and she had a concerned but caring smile on her face. I tried to stay strong, but as she came closer, I lost it.

"Shh Sara, I've got you," Catherine said wrapping her arms around me. We both knew that we couldn't discuss the case, so she just held me whispering soothing words into my ear.

I finally calmed down after a few minutes, and when I pulled away as Catherine was wiping my tears away, the baby kicked. I giggled as I grabbed Catherine's hand and put it where the little one kicked as she kicked again.

"Catherine, I know it has been awhile, but there is someone else I want you to meet," I said smiling as we both made ourselves presentable before going to Brass' office.

CHAPTER 4

When we walked into Brass' office, Brook turned in my direction and her face lit up. Seeing this, I know anything else going on didn't matter as long as I have my baby girl. Melissa handed her to me as I turned around to face Catherine.

"Catherine, I would like to introduce to you my daughter, Brook Lynn Sidle," I said not realizing I omitted Callie's name while I introduced Cetta and Mellisa too.

"Nice to meet you two, and Sara, this little girl is precious. Would you mind if I held her?" Catherine asked as I gave her Brook.

I let Catherine keep her while I let Cetta know I was staying with them for awhile. She knew enough about me being a CSI before to know why they were at the house this morning. I also told her they could go home because I was going to catch up with old friends. She gave me a peck on the cheek before letting Melissa know what the plan was.

Knowing she was in capable hands, I left Brook with Catherine while I walked my friends out. They both gave me a hug before getting in their car as I turned around and headed back inside. I walked back in hoping that Catherine wasn't busy and could play taxi for me and Brook.

I walked up to Jim's door and had to smile at the way Brook was taking to Catherine. I re-entered the room still smiling as Catherine offered Brook back to me as I shook my head. I grabbed the chair in front of the desk and faced it towards Catherine.

"Um...since I don't know how long I'm going to be here. Would you mind taking Brook and I to see the guys, I'd really like to see them again," I said avoiding the subject of Callie all together.

"Sara, I would love to. I'm actually on vacation, so I don't have anything to do until I have to pick up Lindsay, who would probably love to see you," Catherine said standing up.

She gave Brook back to me as we left Brass' office. When we past the front desk, the receptionist stopped us. She told us that my friends dropped this off. I can't believe I forgot Brook's car seat. I climbed in Catherine's car while she buckled in Brook's seat as I flashbacked to car rides with Catherine. I used to be nervous on tough cases, but this is a different, we have three years of catching up to do.

I played with Brook while Catherine tightened all the belts. I know the guys will be happy to see me, but Lindsay brings up an interesting situation. I wouldn't really be surprised if she hated me considering our relationship when I left.

After we were all buckled in, Catherine surprised me by turning the radio on. I guess she thinks I have enough on my plate without having talk about the past right now. As much as I want to fight them given the circumstances, I can feel my old feelings for Catherine coming back.

I jumped when Catherine touched my leg as I noticed that we were at the lab already. Catherine grabbed the baby bag as I unbuckled Brook. We stopped in Catherine's office first after I got my visitor's pass. While I was changing Brook, I realized that she hasn't eaten since this morning, and I didn't have any bottles in the bag.

"Catherine before we meet the guys can you run me to the store. When I grabbed Brook's bag this morning, I completely forgot to grab her any bottles," I said trying not to cry.

"Sara I'll go, you stay here with Brook. I'll be right back," Catherine offered as I went to get her money, but she refused.

I decided to stretch out on Catherine's couch while I waited for her to come back. I'm not real big, so I laid Brook on my chest and belly. As I was laying there, I started thinking about Callie and I. Even if she didn't kill that woman, she still cheated. I can't help and wonder if she has done this before, but it isn't just me I have to think about. There is Brook and the baby on the way.

I woke up feeling warm, and when I didn't feel Brook on my chest, I started to freak out. I looked over and saw Catherine feeding Brook. I turned on my side just to watch them, and seeing Catherine with Brook makes me realize that if my marriage ends, I have enough friends to take care of us.

After Catherine burped her, Brook started to look around at her surroundings. When she stopped on me, she had this look that she was figuring something out. Catherine was smiling at our little display when we both heard it. "Mama."

I sat up and went over to Brook. I picked her up and hugged and kissed her before sitting back down on the couch when it dawned on me that Callie missed Brook's first word because she had only thought about herself. I fought off the urge to cry as Catherine pointed out that it was time to pick up Lindsay. I guess seeing the guys is going to have to wait.

"Catherine, I know we have alot of catching up to do, but I would like to wait until the guys are around," I said as she nodded before we took off towards Lindsay's school. Heres hoping Lindsay didn't take my leaving personally.

CHAPTER 5

I put Brook's hat on her head as we waited outside Lindsay's school. When I left, Lindsay was an eleven year old girl who had just recently lost her father, and now she will be a fourteen year old young woman starting to come into her own as I shuddered to think that both my girls would be going through the teenage years together. When the bell rang, I took a deep breath to relax.

"Holy crap!" I heard someone yell as I saw Lindsay saying a quick goodbye before running towards me.

"Hey Lindsay, you look different," I said smiling handing Brook to Catherine before wrapping Linds up in a hug.

Catherine knew this wasn't the place to talk, so she packed us all back in the car. I'm guessing we're going to Catherine's house, and I thought Lindsay and I were going to catch up on the way, but she spent the whole time playing with Brook. I looked over at Catherine while we listened to our girls laugh.

We pulled into this driveway, but this isn't the house I remember. I guess Catherine made some changes too. I got out of the car and went to the back to get Brook, but Lindsay beat me to her. Catherine just smiled as she handed me the diaper bag. When I walked into the house, I saw that Lily and Nancy were both there which shouldn't surprise me since Lily and Catherine are handling Sam's services.

"Lindsay, are they giving you guys real babies now instead of...Sara!" Nancy yealled coming towards me. When I first met Nancy, she was the complete opposite of Catherine. Although, it probably helped that Linsday constantly talked me up, but she was always nice.

I looked over Nancy's shoulder while we were hugging to see that Lily and Lindsay were both doting on Brook. When Nancy pulled out of the hug, she touched my stomach and smiled before heading over to the couch. I suddenly felt forgotten until Catherine tucked her arm into mine taking us to the kitchen. Catherine poured herself a coffee and handed me a glass of orange juice but not before smelling her coffee as we sat down at the table.

"Sara, I don't know if you heard that Sam was killed, and his service is tomorrow. What I want to ask is will you go with me?" Catherine asked as I sat there stunned as I thought to myself that since Callie would still be here, I could go. Plus, it would break the ice with the guys about Brook.

"Cat, I would love to, but I have nothing to wear. I was planning on going back to my friends house after I left PD, but that was before I ran into you," I explained smiling.

"That just means we get to go shopping. I can make up the guest room for you and Brook, and besides, it looks like you won't have to find a babysitter," Catherine said giggling heading into the living room while I pulled out my phone.

After letting Cetta know what was going on, I headed to see what my baby girl was up to. When I came in, Nancy, Catherine, and Lindsay were all playing peek-a-boo with Brook while Lily watched on. She saw me and gave me a hug while I offered her my condolences.

The way everyone is acting, Catherine must have let them know the situation. I had to laugh as Lindsay backed off Brook quickly which means she needs a changing. Catherine showed me to the bathroom where she stood in the doorway and watched.

"What?" I asked starting to take off the old diaper.

"It's nothing really except for when we first met, you told us you weren't good with kids. The guys might have bought that, but after seeing you with Brenda Collins and Lindsay, I knew you were full of poo, no pun intended," Catherine said as I started laughing.

After taking care of Brook, we headed back to the rest of the group. I gave Brook back to Lindsay while Catherine told Nancy and Lily what we were going to do. I gave Lindsay the option of coming with us or looking after Brook. I wasn't surprised that she decided to stay.

I hate to say this, but it looks like Callie's arrest might be a mixed blessing. I gain back my old friends, but maybe at the cost of my marriage. Catherine must have seen the look on my face because she came over. I shook it off as nothing as we headed out.

We went to this little boutique, and from the looks of things, it is one of Catherine's favorites. They had the cutest maternity section that I'll have to check later when I found a nice dark pant suit as I grabbed an outfit for Brook too before leaving.

On the way home, I checked my phone to see if I missed any calls. I wasn't expecting any from Mel or Cetta, but I thought Callie might call at least to let me know she was released. I can't say it doesn't hurt, but I'll work through it. I didn't realize I had started to cry until I felt Catherine wipe away a tear.

"Sara, I've been in your shoes, and it won't do you any good holding it in. Plus, you have to think about the baby and not let things bottle up," Catherine said parking the car and unbuckling before turning and facing me.

"Callie said it was my fault. She blamed me for her straying because she said I wasn't paying her enough attention. I thought I was making time for her, but according to her, I wasn't," I said laying across the front seat placing my head in Catherine's lap.

"No. No matter what, this is not your fault. She wasn't strong enough to handle the temptation, and if I ever hear you blaming yourself again, I will kick your ass," Catherine said running her fingers through my hair.

CHAPTER 6

Before she took us home, Catherine took me to an ice cream parlor, and I ended getting my usual banana milkshake which of course I had to explain. I don't why I crave them, I just do. I started laughing on the way back to Catherine's wondering if Lindsay has lost Brook to one of the adults yet.

Catherine opened the front door, and we both started laughing because Nancy and Lily were sitting on the couch pouting while Lindsay was feeding Brook. I decided to go back to my room while Catherine stayed in the living room. I had to smile when I saw the crib beside my bed.

As much as I want to go out and hold Brook, my conversation with Catherine took alot out of me. I laid down on the bed, and I don't know if I'm going to sleep, but I'd rather do it in a bed than on a chair or couch. I was almost asleep when I heard a light knocking on the door. I gave a quiet 'come in' as Lindsay walked in carrying Brook.

"Looks like mother and daughter had the same idea. Sara, do you mind if I laid down with you?" Lindsay asked placing Brook in the crib and covering her up as I scooted over and patted the space beside me.

Lindsay took off her shoes before laying her head on my shoulder. She draped her arm around my belly as I thought I heard her say she missed me. I kissed the top of her head as I closed my eyes. Then I smiled remembering all the times we used to do this.

I knew I was being watched when I woke up, and during our nap, Lindsay had burrowed closer to me, plus I noticed we were covered up. I opened my eyes to find Catherine in the doorway holding Brook watching Lindsay and I. She mouthed that dinner was ready, so I decided to wake up Lindsay.

"Wake up Linds, dinner is ready," I said kissing the top of her head. She just mumbled something before snuggling in closer, so I decided to see if the old trick still worked. I gave Catherine a wink before I tickled Lindsay under her ribs.

Catherine and I both start laughing at Lindsay trying not to laugh, so I brought out the big guns. I got right up to ear and whispered to her that she would have to watch everyone else holding Brook and not get to herself. She opened her eyes with that famous Willows look and gave me a kiss on the cheek before telling me that wasn't nice.

I sat up and watched Lindsay walk over to Brook and give her a kiss. Brook then stretched out her arms wanting Lindsay to carry her. I stood up and groaned as my back felt a little stiff. Catherine came over and rubbed it making it feel better, maybe later I can see if she would massage it for me.

When I walked into the kitchen, I found that there were two meals. There was a small dish of regular lasagne by Lily and Nancy, and a bigger vegetable lasagne down with us. I guess Lindsay stuck with being a vegetarian and brought her mom with her as Catherine helped me with my chair.

We spent the meal catching up. The only subject I avoided was Callie. I didn't really want to talk about her, and I didn't want to rub my marriage in Catherine's nose. I cringed when she told me that Ecklie became assistant lab director and tried to break up the team.

After dinner, I was going to help clean up, but was shooed out of the kitchen by Lily. Lindsay grabbed my hand and told me she needed help with homework. I gave Brook a kiss while Catherine was holding her before going with Lindsay. I was surprised when I saw Lindsay room. Gone were all the celebrity hunks and replaced with by awards and ribbons.

Some were for dance, but the bulk of them were science and math. I couldn't believe that ornery Lindsay Willows had turned into a brilliant young woman. I sat on her bed and put my face in my hands fighting the urge to cry.

"Sara don't cry. I don't blame you for leaving. If all of that had happened to me in such a short period of time, I would have split too. When I first started getting into the math and science fairs, it was to remember you. Then, I found out that I was really good, so I continued. Besides, if you didn't go, I wouldn't have a cute little sister," Lindsay explained sitting beside me on the bed.

"Oh Lindsay, you don't know how much it means to me to hear that. The only regret I have about leaving is losing touch with you, your mom, and the guys," I said as Lindsay laid my head in her lap as I remembered all the times I did this with her.

We stayed like that until Catherine came in and let Lindsay know her aunt and grandma were leaving. I sat up with that familiar groan as Catherine came over sat behind me massaging my lower back. Lindsay came back holding Brook as Catherine finished up. I thanked her before getting up and going over to my little girl.

CHAPTER 7

When I woke up the next morning, I felt more relaxed than I have in quite a while. Catherine's back massage last night did wonders. I sat up and looked in the crib, but Brook wasn't in it. Normally, I would probably start to panic, but after my talk with Lindsay, I knew she was safe whichever one had her.

"She started to fuss, so I changed her, and now, Lindsay is feeding her. I don't know how it has been for you, but when I could get a good night's sleep, I felt so much better in the morning," Catherine said surprising me while she stood in the doorway.

"Yeah, it is. I always hated when Callie was away at a show, and I would have to get up everytime. The mornings I woke up after a night of uninterupted sleep were my students favorite too. Apparently, I wasn't as cranky as my TA once told me," I said smiling as I walked over and whispered a thank you in Catherine's ear.

Catherine left as I headed to take a quick shower before getting dressed. I know I can't stay here and avoid everything else in my life, but I want to do this for Catherine before going back to my life. Besides, it isn't like we won't see each other now that we have reconnected.

After fixing my hair and double checking that my belly wasn't going to peek out of my outfit, I walked down the hall into the living room to find Brook was already dressed and was sitting on the floor coloring with Lindsay. It looks like someone always wanted a little sister, and since I'm back, she'll have two soon.

I just stood in the doorway watching how well they get along. Although sometimes, it looks like Lindsay wants to add something to the picture, but Brook won't let her. I think Lindsay is doing it just to hear Brook laugh. The three of us were all surprised when we saw the camera flash.

We took a limo to the church which completely facinated Brook. I know this is supposed to be a somber event, but I think watching her and Lindsay interact makes this easier to get through. I didn't know Sam all that well, but the one thing I did know was that he loved his family, so I think he would love to see these two together.

During the service, I sat between Catherine and Lindsay. I figured it would be good for both Catherine and I. If she needs my hand to hold, I can just hand Brook to Lindsay and concentrate of her. I was surprised how well behaved Brook was being seeing as though she doesn't really like to sit still for too long.

When the service ended, I gave Catherine, Lily, and Nancy all hugs telling them I would take the girls outside for some fresh air. I saw the whole gang as the three of us went down the side aisle. From the looks of things, I wasn't the only one who got married.

I knew once they gave their condolences they would head straight for me. It is going to be nice to see them all again, and I think Brook is going to love gaining more uncles. I led us to the side of the church where there was a small playground. I figure once I get the introductions out of the way, Lindsay can take Brook over and play with her.

I wasn't surprised that Greg was the first one out seeing that he was the first one to become my friend after I started. Granted, he hit on me constantly, but he was someone I could count on if I needed to. Slowly but surely, the rest of the gang made it out as I picked up Brook.

"Guys, I would like to introduce you to my daughter, Brook Lynn Sidle. She is ten and half months old, and yes, I'm also six months pregnant," I said handing my little girl back to Lindsay. As soon as she was clear, the hugging started.

Warrick introduced me to his wife Tina while the rest of them caught me up with what has been going on. I couldn't believe when they told that Greg is now a CSI. When it was Grissom's turn, all he did was wrap me up in a hug. He whispered to me that if I needed anything, just call.

Greg stuck around after the rest of the guys went home, but he gave me a kiss on the cheek as Catherine came out. Before he left, he told me not to be a stranger. I'll definitely stop by after my other little girl is born. Catherine came over to make sure I was okay before we collected our girls.

I made the occupants of limo laugh when my stomach growled on the way home even though I had breakfast before we left. Catherine went to the window and whispered something to the driver. I didn't know what she said until we stopped, and Catherine got out. I was touched when she came back in with a banana milkshake.

When we got back home, I headed to my room to change and checked my phone for messages. The only one I had was from Brass telling me my house is cleared and could go back in. I guess after lunch, I can have Catherine take us home.

CHAPTER 8

Well, today is the day that ny new meets my old. I've been back home for a little more than a month, and I think Callie and I are heading back to where we were. When I started planning Brook's first birthday party, I called Lindsay and told her to fill in her aunts and uncles about her little sister's first birthday.

Lindsay has spent a few nights here since Sam's service. Callie was a little weird the first time, but when she saw her with Brook, she was fine. Although, I am a little worried about Callie and Catherine meeting, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Cetta and Melissa were the first ones to show followed by Greg. Then, it seemed everyone showed up. I introduced my old friends to Callie, and thankfully for me, they acted like nothing had happened. Of course after the introductions were made Lindsay and Brook became the life of the party.

Every once in a while, I had to sit down, but someone was always there to help me. When it was present time, Catherine and I sat on the couch taking pictures while Callie stood beside me as Lindsay would help Brook open her presents. They kept sticking bows on each other. It started with Lindsay putting one on Brook's dress, and it ended with them both wearing countless bows.

I wasn't surprised when it was time to cut the cake that a poker game had broken out, and that they had rangled Callie in. Brook was bouncing in her chair when she saw her big Spongebob cake, and in true kid fashion, she stuck both hands in it which got a laugh from the onlookers.

When it was time to clean up, I was escorted to the couch and kept busy to insure I wouldn't help. Catherine and I made plans to get each other copies of our pictures and setting up Lindsay's next visit. Nancy came over and let Catherine know that she was ready to go, and we all hugged as Lindsay handed me Brook before hugging us both.

As soon as everyone left, I took Brook up to bed. I read to her even though she was asleep. I headed to bed after finishing her story and was in the middle of changing when Callie came in. She was wearing the same look she had when I saw her at PD which was making me a little worried.

"So Catherine, did you do her for payback when you spent that night there. I mean it would explain why when I came back, you acted like what I did wasn't a problem," Callie spewed as I turned all the way around stunned.

"No, I didn't have sex with Catherine. I forgave you because I partially blamed myself for your straying, but according to you apparently, I'm no better than you and your drunken whore. I would never do that to you, and neither would Catherine. I guess I was wrong when I thought we had gotten past this," I said as Callie muttered a whatever before slamming the bedroom door.

Un-fucking-believable, she sits on this for six weeks and lets it fester until she sees Catherine and blasts me with it on our daughter's first birthday. I was glad I was really tired because I've spent too many nights crying myself to sleep. I finished getting dressed for bed before falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning and remembered why I was in bed alone. Maybe a good night's sleep let Callie think about what I said. I first checked on Brook, who was still sleeping, before checking the guest bedroom. I walked in and found the bed made, but found a note sitting on top of it.

~Sara,

I have gone to the cabin for a couple weeks. I would appreciate in that time that you pack your things and get out of my house. I'll have our lawyers draw up papers to give you sole custody of your daughters.

~Callie

Fuck it, I'm sick and tired of being the victim. I'm not crying over something that is not my fault, as much as I don't want to involve my friends, I can't exactly pack up my own stuff in my condition. The first person I call is Catherine, so she can bring Lindsay to keep Brook occupied.

I sat Brook in her playpen as I went to answer the door. When I opened, I really had to fight the urge to cry. Catherine had gotten the guys together, and they brought boxes and a moving truck. I told them to start with Brook's room first and would give them other instructions after that.

Catherine walked me outside after the guys went upstairs, and Nancy and Lindsay went to play with Brook. I took us over to the bench under the tree and explained what had happened after the party and finished with telling her about the note this morning. Catherine gave me a hug before crouching in front of me.

"Sara, Callie is right, this is my fault. If I would have been honest with myself and you before you left, you wouldn't be going through this today. I know this isn't the right time, but I want you to know that I love you and have so for quite some time. I don't expect you to return my feelings, but I would like to take care of you at least until this little one is born," Catherine said as I sat there speechless.

CHAPTER 9

I have no idea what to say looking at the woman I have had feelings for since I came to Vegas. I see her start to stand up, and I wrap my arms around her waist telling her not to go. I want so badly to kiss her, but I know it is probably to soon for both of us. I got up as we both headed inside.

We went over to Nancy and the girls, and I had Cath stay with them while I talked with Nancy. I really wanted Brook out of here as soon as possible. She gave me a hug as I let her know what I needed her to do. She then whispered 'take care of her' as she went back over to the kids. Catherine and I both walked them out, and before she left, Lindsay gave me a hug too.

After watching them leave, I took Catherine up to my bedroom to pack up my clothes. She allowed me to light packing, but if I got tired, I had to rest. I'm being meticulous while I'm going through our stuff because I want to make sure I don't end up leaving anything here.

Surprisingly, we were mostly done by lunchtime, and I called for pizzas as a thank you. The guys tried to pay, but I gave them a serious mom face that Catherine told me afterwards was excellent. Nick and Warrick left with the truck and headed to Catherine's while she and I went room by room to make sure 'I' was out of the house.

I tossed my keys on the table in the foyer as I locked the door and left. I know exactly what I'm doing when I get to my new home, take a nap. I'm not exactly sure where Catherine is going to put all my stuff, but I'm sure we'll figure something out. I don't know when I fell asleep on the trip, but it was Nancy who woke me up.

"C'mon Sara, I got someplace more comfortable for you to sleep," Nancy said helping me out of the car.

The next time I woke up, I looked around and nothing seemed familiar except for the sleeping Lindsay laying against me. I looked around for Brook, but I didn't see her which means someone besides Lindsay has her for once, and I can't wait to see what she is like when the other one is born.

I was running my fingers through Lindsay's hair when she woke up. She looked up and smiled at me as she rubbed her cheek against my shoulder, and I gave her a kiss on top of the head. She helped me up and led me down the hallway. I started laughing when I saw Greg on the floor with Brook who was using him as a jungle gym while Nancy watched them from the couch.

"So Greg, what did you do to get kicked out of Catherine's house?" I asked as I made my way over to the couch.

"I kept smacking either Nick or Warrick's fingers into things, so I figured I come over here and see my new niece," he said smiling as Brook was using his arms for balance so she could stand on his chest.

Lindsay headed into the kitchen while I asked Nancy where Jeremy was. She explained that he was at baseball practice, but should be home shortly. I wondered to myself how much he has changed in three years as Lindsay came in with a glass of orange juice for me and waters for the rest.

While Nancy, Lindsay, and I were making idle chit-chat, I saw Greg back away from Brook like Lindsay did the first time. I was about to get up and change her, but Lindsay got up and told me she would take care of it. I looked over at Nancy as she just nodded as I watched Lindsay change Brook while Greg headed down the hall towards the bathroom.

------

Nancy's phone rang around six-thirty while Lindsay and I were watching cartoons with Greg and Brook. Although for the last half hour, Greg and Brook had both been sleeping. I guess today tired us all out. I'm just glad it is over with.

I'm guessing that was Catherine on the phone since that is the direction we're heading. Lindsay tried to get something out of Nancy by taking her aside but nothing, so I have no idea what is awaiting me upon my arrival. When we pull into the driveway, I noticed that the truck isn't here, but there are a couple extra cars.

I walked inside the house to find Cetta and Melissa sitting with Catherine and the guys in the living room. Cetta and Melissa came over and gave me hugs before Catherine took me to my room. I opened the bedroom door to find all of mine and Brook's things put away with Brook's crib slightly off to the side of my bed.

I turned and wrapped my arms around Catherine starting to cry. This day started as one of my worst, but it is going to end as one of my best. I let go of Catherine and take her over to the bed.

"Catherine, I know I didn't tell you how I felt earlier, but I want you to know that it wasn't just you that hid feelings. I was so in love with you, but I didn't think I had any chance, and after all that happened that year, I couldn't take it anymore and ran," I explained as Catherine placed a tender kiss on my lips before bending down and kissing my belly too.

We ended going back to the rest of the gang who was distributing dinner that had arrived. When my veggie wraps and salad were placed in front of me, I looked up at Cetta who just gave me a wink as we started eating.

CHAPTER 10

The last couple of weeks have gone smoothly. I got the custody papers a couple days ago, read and signed them the same day. Lindsay and I have re-established the relationship we had before I left. Although now, I don't help her as much with her homework. Now, Catherine and I are a different story.

Ever since I told her how I felt, we haven't moved in any direction, not forward and thankfully not backwards. That is why I'm having Nancy take Lindsay to school and pick her up, so I can surprise Catherine with a datelike breakfast. I even had Nancy pick me up some flowers before she came over. I just hope this doesn't screw things up.

I heard a door shut as I finishing the vegetable omelet. As quickly as I could, I made my way to the door as Catherine walked in. She must have been surprised because she jumped when she saw me. I gave her a kiss before taking her hand and leading her into the kitchen.

She gave me a kiss as we sat down to eat. We were discussing her night when Brook woke up, and Catherine motioned me to sit down as she went to get her. I went to the fridge and warmed a bottle so when Catherine comes in she can feed her.

When we finished, I was about to start clearing the dishes, but Catherine handed me Brook, and I burped her while Catherine was loading the dishwasher. I knew it was getting close for Nancy to be showing up, but when she knocked on the door, Catherine beat me to the door.

"Nancy, what are you doing back here? I thought you already took Linds to school" Catherine asked looking back at me, but by this time, I had Brook's baby bag and was heading over to Nancy. She took the bag first before taking Brook. I took a deep breath before turning around and facing Catherine.

"Catherine, this whole thing was a way to let you know that I'm ready. I know you well enough that you wanted me to give me time to get comfortable," I said giving her a more than tender kiss, then I pulled back to see what her reaction was.

"Sara, I'm sorry. I wanted this the day we moved you here. I just thought it would be better if we didn't do anything until you were ready, and as much as I want this, I'm beat, but can I hold you while we sleep?" Catherine asked as I got a big smile on my face as we headed for her bedroom.

Since I'm already in my pjs, I waited for Catherine to come out of the bathroom. As much as I want naked spooning, I would rather work up to that. When I heard her bedroom door open, I stood up and almost fainted at the sight.

She was only wearing a pajama top held on by two buttons and a sexy pair of red lacy painties. From the smile on her face, I'm guessing she got the reaction she was looking for. I watched her turn down the bed and give me her come hither look as I climbed in.

I decided to play her game and kick off my pajama pants leaving me in my top and boxers. When Catherine spooned in behind me, she fit like a glove. I took the arm she wrapped around my belly and kissed her palm before placing back where she had it.

I knew I could use more sleep since I was up with Lindsay, so I could make her breakfast. I fell asleep shortly after Catherine did which isn't a surprise since when I was pregnant with Brook it seemed all I did was eat and sleep.

When I woke up, I peaked over Catherine at the clock to see that it is the usual time that Catherine would get up to get ready to pick up Lindsay. If her internal clock is anything like mine, she is probably close to waking up, but that won't stop me from having some fun.

I was glad that I was now facing Catherine who is now laying on her back. The AC is affecting parts of Catherine because it looks like her nipples are about to break out of her top. I'm feeling a little amorous, so I decided to see what I could get away with.

Thankfully, I have this skill that I can unbutton buttons without disturbing the person wearing them. Although, I haven't tried it since college so my skills maybe rusty. I reached for the bottom one of the two buttons and undid it without a hitch. Problem is, it put more tension on the last one, and I was about to make an attempt for it when Catherine surprised me.

"Miss Sidle, didn't anyone tell you that it isn't nice to tease," Catherine said straddling me right below my belly. She then grab my wrists and placed my arms above my head and whispered to me not to move them or she would stop. She then slowly unbuttoned my top completely driving me insane as we spent the afternoon pleasuring each other.

CHAPTER 11

I woke up to the smell of food and opened my eyes to find myself alone. I got up and put Catherine's robe on before heading to my room. By now, I figure that Nancy has brought the girls back, so I put on my 'baby on board' pajamas and ended running a brush through my hair since I had 'just had sex' hair.

I can hear the laughter from the top of the stairs, so I'm guessing the girls are entertaining. I stood in the doorway watching Lindsay play elevator with Brook on the floor. I didn't see Catherine or Nancy, so they must be in the kitchen, and I was going unnoticed until Brook started a 'mama' chant.

Lindsay looked in my direction and smiled as she let Brook down. I was ecstatic watching Brook stumble and waddle her way over to me. I can't believe I'm watching my little girl walk her first steps. She almost made it all the way over until she had too much momentum and fell back on her butt. I laughed as she looked up at me with her sweet smile.

By now, Nancy and Catherine had come in, and I scooped up Brook and headed into the kitchen. Lindsay followed beside me making funny faces trying to get Brook to smile. Catherine gave me a kiss as she helped me into my chair, and I put Brook into hers beside me.

Lindsay was telling me about school while we took turns feeding Brook in between eating ourselves as I noticed that Catherine and Nancy were having their own conversation. I think after Catherine goes to work, I'm going to make sure that Lindsay is okay with all of this without traumatizing her with intimate details.

Of course after dinner, I was shooed out of the kitchen by both Catherine and Nancy, so Lindsay and I took Brook to get her cleaned up and into her pjs. What used to be a difficult task, changing Brook, is now a piece of cake as long as Lindsay is around to distract her from realizing what is going on.

We ended up going to the family room. Lindsay laid down on the floor, and I laughed when I saw Brook copy her. I grabbed the foot stool before sitting down on the sofa. I only spent half the time watching the TV. The other half was spent watching Brook copy anything Lindsay did the best that she could.

Nancy came in and hugged the girls before coming over and giving me one. Catherine must have walked her out because she was gone for a bit after Nancy left. When she came back in, she sat beside me and laid her head on my shoulder. I turned my head and kissed the top of hers as I had her lay her head on my lap.

Not five minutes after running my fingers through her hair, Catherine was asleep. She had a couple hours before having to go into work, so I let her get a power nap before going in. I guess our afternoon sexcapades took a little out of her. The good thing is now that we got that out of the way, we won't be so hell bent on one-upping each other, not that it wasn't fun.

After waking her, Catherine took us to her room. She sat me down on the bed as she stripped down to her underwear. I had no idea what we were doing until she started showing me clothes. Since I wasn't in the mood to share tonight, I had her go with a larger sized blue tee and cargo pants. I had the biggest smile on my face when she looked at herself in the mirror and saw that her assets were non existant.

Catherine left, and I headed back to Lindsay, so we could put Brook to bed. After that, I can find out how okay Lindsay is with this. I ended up getting my camera when I found Brook asleep on Lindsay's chest. The flash caught her attention as we headed to my room. After laying her down and setting up the monitor, I took Lindsay's hand and headed to her room.

"Lindsay, I know you are well aware of my relationship with your mom. You and I have always gotten along and were always honest with each other, so I want to make sure that you are comfortable with all this, me being your mom's girlfriend, my soon to be two daughters, and the fact that we are all living here," I said bracing myself for the worst.

"Sara, you are my best friend. You have been for quite some time. Yes, I have friends my age, but I can tell you anything. Although, that my change now with you and Mom being together. Anyway, I love the fact that you are here, and I get to help raise my sisters with you and Mom," Lindsay explained as I started to cry after hearing Lindsay say her sisters.

I tried to thank her, but I couldn't get the words out. Lindsay understood and hugged me as we looked over her homework. Afterwards, Lindsay and I came up with a plan to send her mom flowers. We would get into trouble in the morning, but her getting badgered all night about them by the guys would make it all worth it.

For old times sake, Lindsay and I laid down in her bed reading. I think it was more reading to the baby than anything else, and Lindsay ended up falling asleep on me. Since she had a monitor in her room, I shut off her lamp before covering us up.

I got smacked in the forehead as Lindsay was trying to shut off her alarm. I turned it off for her and lightly smacked her head before getting out of bed. When I got to my door, I found a note that said 'living room'. I walked downstairs to find Catherine sitting on the couch with Brook, and Catherine had her payback smile on. Uh-oh.

CHAPTER 12

I walk over to Catherine smiling and pick up my baby girl. As I headed to the kitchen, Catherine was still staring at me. Brook gave me a wet kiss on the cheek as I got something to drink and heard the doorbell. Who could that be? Nancy would have just come in as I stood in the doorway as Lindsay answered the door.

I look over at Catherine when I see Cetta and Melissa walk in. She wags her eyebrows at me as she headed towards my friends. I see her make gestures in my direction as Melissa catches my eye and smiles as Lindsay came over and was making faces at Brook. I handed Brook to her big sister before going to see what was up.

"Hey guys, what's up? Not that I'm not glad to see you, but don't you both have classes to teach?" I asked hugging them both trying to figure out why my girlfriend called my two best friends.

"Well Sara, your friend Catherine here called us and asked if we wanted to spend the day with our favorite niece, and since it is early in the quarter, we figured what is a better excuse than that to play hooky," Cetta explained as I settled into Catherine's arms just as Nancy walked through the door.

Even though they met at Brook's birthday party, I made formal introductions as Lindsay and Brook came in. Catherine and I were smiling watching our girls, and I saw that Nancy and my friends were doing the same. I don't know if they ran into Lindsay at the party, so I introduced them as Lindsay grabbed her bag while Catherine handed Melissa Brook's. We all laughed when Lindsay got a wet kiss on the cheek from Brook like I got earlier.

Catherine and I walked our guests to their cars, and we waved them off as they drove away. Catherine took my hand as we headed back into the house. I had just closed and locked the door when I found myself pinned against it as Catherine brought her lips to my ear.

"Sara, you knew how much teasing I was going to get from your and Lindsay's flowers, and Lindsay will get hers later, but you, Miss Sidle, are in deep trouble when we get to the bedroom. All I got to say for you is that I better tire out because I'm off tonight, so I really don't need sleep right now," Catherine said as I gasped when she cupped my center.

I decided to fight fire with fire as I grabbed her and starting sucking on her neck. It kept her distracted as I started to unbutton her blouse. I was doing well until she realized that she had lost control, and I gave her my best pout as she just marched us upstairs.

Catherine took off my pajama bottoms before having me lean against the headboard. She then proceeded to give me a strip tease which was driving me nuts. Normally, I would be helping myself out, but that was Catherine's only rule, no touching, myself or her. Granted I have seen her naked, but seeing her put on a show puts it in a new light.

The best way to describe how she climbed on the bed is slithered. She came up to my feet and butterfly kissed her way up the inside of my right thigh. I was handling it well until she reached my panties. She blew on my panty-covered core making me quiver before repeating the kisses up my left thigh. I was begging and moaning as she made it to my center the second time, but Catherine just looked up and smiled as she undid the bottom button on my pajama top.

She didn't spend too much time with my belly as she finished undoing my top. When she saw that I wasn't wearing a bra, she looked at me and smiled before sliding two fingers slowly into my core letting me have a release, but that was just a reprieve as I found out later.

Under normal circumstances, I have sensitive breasts, but pregnancy makes them even moreso, and Catherine knows this because she is teasing the hell out of them. The worst was when she was licking around my nipples with her tongue not touching them. At this point, I am moaning and shaking from the smaller climaxes I'm having every couple minutes.

I was euphoric by the time Catherine slowly kissed her way back down my body. I felt her tug my panties down my legs before feeling her tongue lap at the escaping juices. I was begging while Catherine just ran her tongue up and down my lips as all of a sudden she thrusted it inside me causing me to scream out her name while she kept up with her ministrations.

I was on cloud nine as Catherine continued. She varied between her tongue, her fingers, and occasionally both. I growled out an 'oh my god' as she took my bud into her mouth which led to me releasing a torrent at her.

Once I got back control of my body. I looked down at Catherine resting her head against my leg. I sat up the best I could and brought her up to lay beside me. I gave her a kiss on the cheek before asking if she wanted to join me for a shower.

She returned the kiss and decided a bath would be more fun. I can't argue with that. As I left the room, Catherine was stripping the bed. I walked across the hallway and started the water before going to the cabinet to grab some candles. I had just lit the last one when Catherine walked in.

CHAPTER 13

I swear I'm the strangest woman in the world. I don't know what everyone else does, but when I'm going through contractions, I think about my life and what has happened up to this point. With Brook, I went from my childhood to marrying Callie. Wait a second, here comes another one.

Good lord, I hate those things. If it wasn't for the end result, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I have to ask Catherine later what she did during her labor with Lindsay. Anyway, I can't believe how much has changed since Brook was born. I've lost my wife, but I gained something I thought I would never have, Catherine Willows.

I don't honestly think we'll ever get married. Although, I would if she asked, but otherwise, I really don't think so. I have even reconnected with my other lab friends, and the best part is Lindsay. She has been a god send, and I was really surprised she wasn't holding a grudge, but the biggest surprise was how quickly she took to Brook and vice versa.

I can hear Catherine's soothing words, but my internal catching up is drowning out whatever she is saying. I love the fact that she is here helping me. Lindsay wanted to be here, but Catherine overruled her. She is sleeping at Nancy's, but if I have the baby before school, Catherine told her she would call her off.

The thing that really sucks about having a baby is that Catherine and I can't make love for six weeks. One thing I do know is that the first day after those six weeks, one of my TAs is teaching class that day because I'm calling off 'sick'. That is if I'm back to teaching by then.

Normally, I'm cursing like a sailor because of the pain, but since Catherine didn't put me into this predicament, I'm keeping the swearing to a minimum. I'm wondering if Lindsay is going to like the new girl at the beginning when she is waking the house early in the morning as I was again brought out of my internal discussion, but this time is was my doctor telling me it was to push.

Catherine was whispering encouragement while I pushed. This is worst part of the birth, but when you hear your baby cry for the first time, it makes it all worth it. My doctor told me to rest before giving it one last push. When I did, I held my breath until I heard my baby girl crying.

I laid back on the bed letting Catherine take care of my baby girl. I hadn't realized I had closed my eyes until my daughter was placed in my arms. Catherine and I both know her name, but we don't want to say it until we introduce to the family.

---

By the time I'm back in my room, I can barely keep my eyes open. Catherine kisses me and promises to keep an eye on both of us until everybody gets here. Before I fell asleep, I realize that I don't know what I would've done if Catherine hadn't taken me in, but thankfully, I didn't have to worry about that.

I was woken up by my baby girl because she was hungry. I put her to my breast and looked over at Catherine and smiled. I pulled the other side of my gown down offering her the other one. She kissed me on the lips putting it back into place, but not before warning me not to tease or there would be hell to pay when we got the all clear sign.

I had to laugh remembering the last time I got into trouble. Lindsay got off light with just having to do the dishes for a week while I had to endure an afternoon of teasing, but in the end it was all worth it and so was the bath afterwards.

I noticed that we had a couple hours before anybody started showing up. I had Catherine take a nap, and I would wake her when the gang showed up, and I can't wait to see how Brook handles the new addition. She has done so much these last few months. Of course, her family has interesting names except for a few of us.

The lucky ones are me, Greg, Gil and Nick. The rest have sort of their names. We have Cat, Linny, Nanny, Orick, and Brass is Gampa, which of course he adores. Even though she will never meet him, I wanted to see what would happen if I told her about Ecklie, and Brook made every laugh when she came up with Ecky. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I woke Catherine when Lindsay and Nancy both popped their heads in. Lindsay made me laugh as she ran over to me to get an early look at her little sister. I let Lindsay hold her that way she can show her off when everyone gets here. Plus, if she is anything like she is with Brook, she won't be giving her up. I sat up in bed as the crew started filing in.

"Now that you all are here, I would like you to meet the newest member to the family, Taylor Fallon Sidle," I announced as Lindsay went over to show her off. I had to smile again when Lindsay handed Taylor to Cetta and Melissa, but that was only because she wanted to introduce Brook to her little sister.

The gang didn't stay very long, and Catherine saw them out as I had Lindsay join me in bed. She held Brook was I was holding Taylor, and When Catherine came back in, she told us to hold that pose. Then, she poppoed her head out the door and pulled in a nurse before handing the nurse her camera. Catherine then stood beside me with her arm around me while we got our first family picture taken. It may have taken me a while, but I finally have the family I have always wanted.
